Trumark’s Story
In 1939, a small group of Bell Telephone employees pooled their funds together to establish Bell Telephone Employees Federal Credit Union. The credit union was established to provide a means for fellow employees to get better loans with lower rates. In 1972, the field of membership was expanding, paving the way for the credit union we know today. In 2003, the credit union changed its name to TruMark Financial® Credit Union to align with the core values of helping members achieve financial well-being. In 2026, the credit union shorten it's name to Trumark Credit Union® to provide clarity. As of April 2026, Trumark has roughly 145,000 members, close to 450 employees, serves five counties, and donates thousands of dollars each year to local and regional schools, non-profit organizations, and hospitals.
