Trumark & Industry Partners Deliver 1,720 Pounds of Food and over $32,000 to Philabundance
Trumark Credit Union, along with seven local credit union partners, delivered more than 1,720 pounds of food to Philabundance on Wednesday, July 22. In addition to the donation of non-perishable goods, the group also presented Philabundance with a $32,050 contribution. This year marks the eighth annual food collection and donation to the renowned non-profit.
“We're proud to stand alongside our fellow credit unions for the eighth year to support Philabundance and the incredible work they do every day,” Kelly Botti, CEO of Trumark Credit Union said. “Together, we're helping provide food and hope to families across our region while strengthening the communities we're all proud to call home." Founded in 1984, Philabundance currently serves nearly 700,000 individuals who experience food insecurity. Last year, the nonprofit delivered more than 44,000,000 pounds of food, or the equivalent of 37,000,000 meals – this includes 12,000,000 pounds of healthy fruits and vegetables, as well as 139,000 meals and snacks distributed to children throughout the region.
